July 8, 2021 Islamabad: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Special Assistant on Higher Education Mr. Kamran Bangash visited Higher Education Commission (HEC) Islamabad for discussion on various matters pertaining to higher education in KP .Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Higher Education Department Peshawar team was led by Kamran Bangash SACM on higher education accompanied by Dr Shafiq-ur-Rehman, advisor Quality Assurance, Imran Ullah Khan Marwat, Director Quality Assurance and Dr Fazl Hadi, Director Academic. HEC team was headed by Executive Director Dr Shaista Sohail and accompanied by HEC Advisor Mr Awais Ahmad, Director Academic Sulaiman Ahmed and HEDP Program coordinator Maryam Riaz Watto. Agenda of the meeting was regarding HEC's Undergraduate Education Policy 2020, P-15, HEDP, and establishment of Centers of Excellence in IT in provinces. In 2019 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government decided to launch Associate Degree on semester base by replacing conventional B.A/B.Sc from Fall 2020 and all Universities has already implemented it accordingly in all Non BS Colleges. same will continue in future along with B.S program in colleges and universities. SACM on H.E Kamran Bangash emphasize that program should be designed as per student employability and market oriented subject should be offered. HEC Executive Director appreciated the KP government support to HEC and assure full support from HEC side for the students of KP in various matters of Higher Education. Both side assure full support and strengthening coordination with each other.
